Who was that?

Which head of a large agency office in NY was seen having lunch today with the ceo of a competitive holding company?  The sit down took place in a village hot spot and included sparkling water, a pasta course and what looked like fish.  No dessert, but at least two cups of coffee, not sure if it was full-test or decaf.  There were lots of smiles and nodding and by all accounts it looked like lots of progress was made on whatever was being discussed.  The holding co. ceo jumped in a waiting town car while the agency head jumped in a less glamorous yellow cab.

Whitehouse Spent $1.4 billion on Advertising. Maybe it should have spent $200 on shooting lessons.

The Bush Administration spent over $1.4 billion of taxpayer dollars on 137 contracts with advertising agencies over the past two-and-a-half years.  My guess is the "Spin" budget is going to have to be fired up once again now the the Veep popped a cap in the ass of 70-something year old "friend".  Good thing the guy was a registered Republican.  They would have been burying the damn fool if he was an independent and probably his entire family if he was a democrat.

Current reports indicate that VP Cheney has not shot anyone in the past 24 hours, so hopefully things are settling down.

Who's that?

Which creative director of a large NY based agency has been informed by management that while he's welcome to share his ideas with the office he's going to have to keep future appearances of Mr. Winky to himself?  Evidently said CD had a habit, possibly up to addiction status, of walking into cubicles and offices with his privates not so private.  While the young gay copy-writing mafia didn't complain, at least a dozen women did.  Seems that the agency tried to sweep it under the rug until someone at their holding company got wind via an anonymous "tip" (pardon the pun).
